Awarded to Dr. Kofi Quartey of Green Angel Innovations 88 (Pty) Ltd and Project Manager of SEAD1, this strategic consultancy was commissioned by AUDA-NEPAD to consolidate existing Forest and Landscape Restoration (FLR) data into the AFR100 Monitoring System for four priority countries: Malawi, Kenya, Nigeria, and Tanzania.

The assignment focused on the collection, cleaning, spatial analysis, and system integration of FLR data, using advanced tools such as ArcGIS Survey123 and high-resolution NICFI satellite imagery. The work helps keep track of AFR100 restoration promises based on solid evidence and aids in creating interactive dashboards for AUDA-NEPAD’s continental registry.

SEAD1 served as a supporting partner, contributing technical backstopping during field engagement, data management, and stakeholder coordination across the four select countries

Commissioned by Zorea Africa and executed by Sankofa Environmental and Agricultural Development (SEAD1), this high-impact project focused on the development of a comprehensive feasibility study and bankable business plan for a proposed 12,000-hectare agri-industrial development in the Kasai Region of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Led by Dr. Harry Swatson and Dr. Kofi Quartey, the project involved rigorous technical, market, and financial analyses covering maize, sunflower, and bean production, alongside a visionary Agri-City model. This integrated approach aimed to unlock food security, agro-industrialization, and inclusive rural development in the region.

The study provided:
- Sector-specific market research, competition analysis, and profitability modeling
- Full financial projections, including ROI, cash flow, and bankability indicators
- Strategic operational frameworks, implementation timelines, and risk mitigation strategies
- A polished, investor-ready business plan and feasibility report to enable engagement with banks, DFIs, and private investors
